In honor of the recent 100th anniversary of his birth, our next selection is Miles: the Autobiography by the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis. The book is an unflinching reflection on the personal and creative life of America’s most iconic jazz band leader and composer.

A true innovator in every sense of the word, Miles Davis has influenced literally every jazz artist who came after him, while paving the way from 1950’s bebop to modal jazz and fusion in the 1970’s and 80’s.
